Skin Conditions Rosacea

Rosacea is a skin disorder characterized by redness on the cheeks, nose, chin or forehead. Small bumps, pimples, or blood vessels may also appear. The condition affects almost 14 million people in the U.S.

Causes While the exact cause of rosacea is unknown, it can be triggered by certain foods, sun exposure, environmental factors, and emotional factors.

Rosacea is most common among fair skinned people between the ages of 30 - 50.

Treatment Options
Several treatment options exist, including:

  • IPL
  • V-Beam Laser
  • Oral and topical antibiotics
  • Avoid known dietary, environmental and emotional triggers
  • Wear sunscreen with minimum SPF 30, and protective clothing outdoors
  • We encourage people who may have symptoms of rosacea to seek treatment early to avoid a worsening of the condition.
