South Shore Skin Center uses a variety of lasers in treating our patients.
The type of laser we use will depend on your procedure and skin type.

We currently use the following types of lasers:
Alexandrite: The Alexandrite laser is designed to work on colored pigments making it a great treatment for removing tattoos, brown spots,
and café-au-lait spots. Whereas, multiple treatments are required to remove tattoo ink, most brown spots resolve after one treatment.
CO2: Used for skin resurfacing, the CO2 laser greatly reduces moderate to deep lines and wrinkles due to aging and sun damage.
It has also proven effective in treating acne scars, eyelid skin, and skin pigmentation disorders.
Erbium: The Erbium laser is an excellent treatment option for skin resurfacing, including anti-aging and reduction of acne scars.
This laser produces less burning of untreated skin than other options, and typically results in less post-operative redness and swelling.
GentleLASE: Designed to treat all skin types, the GentleLASE removes unwanted dark hair, treats freckles, brown spots, and reduces the appearance
of fine lines and wrinkles.
GentleYAG: Designed to treat tanned or dark skin tones, the GentleYag is the perfect solution for removal of unwanted hair,
spider veins, broken blood vessels in the legs and face, and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
V-Beam: In use for over 15 years, the V-Beam Laser has a track record of successfully treating facial veins, spider veins in the legs,
fine lines and wrinkles, rosacea, port wine stains, some scars, and warts.
YAG: Perfect for treating café-au-lait spots, brown spots, tattoo removal, and spider veins in the legs. The YAG laser is a proven, safe,
effective treatment method that provides long-lasting results.
