Collagen is a protein that is naturally occurring in the body. Collagen injections replace the skin's own collagen reducing wrinkles, skin depressions, and scarring.
Different Collagen products exist:
Zyderm/Zyplast
Zyderm and Zyplast are highly purified forms of bovine dermal collagen. These products are widely used, safe and effective. Zyderm is used to treat fine lines and wrinkles, while Zyplast is used to treat deeper lines. A skin test is required 4 weeks prior to treatment.
CosmoDerm/CosmoPlast
CosmoDerm and CosmoPlast are made from human collagen. Human collagen is the filler closest to what is normally found in the skin. Cosmoderm is used to treat fine lines and wrinkles, while Cosmoplast can be used to treat deeper lines.
When Will I Notice Results?
You'll notice an immediate improvement. Results last 3 - 5 months.
